During the initial consultation with the client, the Sarasota web designer collects as much information as possible in order to draft a website design contract proposal. The contract proposal is a template document that defines as much of the project terms as possible. These terms typically define items such as the number of pages, the number of design concepts, the number of allowed revisions, links to website designs to emulate, the functionality that is included, the estimated production timeline, and of course, the pricing. An overview of production technical details is also described, such as temporary development hosting, the type of software platform, etc. A written contract benefits the client by explicitly defining what tasks will be completed and eliminating hidden costs. It protects both the client and the Sarasota web designer from costly misunderstandings.
