Breaking Wind

Breaking Wind is an original Heavy Metal recording by Raz Rassel.

When I started writing and recording the heavy metal song Breaking Wind, I heard the sound of Black Sabbath in my head. Tony Iommi is one of my favorite guitarists. Not so much for his guitar solos, but for his chord progressions and guitar riffs. The guitar progression after the vocal chorus was the result of Tony Iommi’s influence. Yngwie Malmsteen’s influence also shows up in the guitar solo. I used a 1976 Gibson SG Standard and an Orange Rockerverb 50 MkII amp with an Orange 2×12 cabinet. The metaphorical lyrics travel a path of repelling life’s pressures but eventually succumbing to those pressures, and releasing chaos among the world.
